Members Complete 250 Hours of Volunteer Service

The Missouri Master Naturalist program is an adult community-based natural resource education and volunteer service program. Started in 2003 with two chapters, the program continues to expand.

The  Meramec Hills Chapter formed in February of 2005. Members of the group are from Phelps and Dent County. Meetings are held once a month in Rolla, St. James and Salem (alternately). 19 members completed the 10-week education program in April, 2005. A second class completed the program in November, 2006. Our 2007 class graduated in November. Our next classes will likely begin in September.

Take a look at the 2006 Program Schedule to get a good idea of the type of training you can expect in the 2008 sessions.

Discover how you can learn more about Missouri’s natural resources and be a part of managing those resources through hands-on conservation activities. Become a Missouri Master Naturalist™.
