January 21Runge Conservation Nature Center, Jefferson City, Missouri7:00 pm – No charge Caves in Crisis. This educational photo exhibit will be at Runge Conservation Nature Center, Jefferson City, Missouri, in January and February, 2010. On January 21, 2010 7:00 pm, William R. Elliott, the Conservation Department's cave biologist, will present a public lecture followed by a tour and discussion of the many photos. The exhibit contrasts the beauty of caves and cave life with vandalism, restoration and conservation. Bill also will discuss WNS (White Nose Syndrome), a new disease in bats. Besides Elliott, several well-known cave photographers contributed images: David Bunnell, Jim Huckins, Rickard Walk and Michael Carter.
