ADVANCED TRAINING OPPORTUNITY

 

January 8 (Thursday)

Ozark Rivers chapter of the National Audubon Society will hold its annual banquet at 6:00 pm at Zeno's Restaurant.  The guest speaker will be Doug Ladd, director of conservation Science for the Missouri chapter of The Nature Conservancy and a research associate at the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis and the Morton Arboretum in Chicago.  Mr. Ladd's presentation, "Save the Ozarks, Save the Universe,"  will count towards Advanced Training hours. 

Tickets for the dinner, including Mr. Ladd's presentation are $13.00.  You can make a reservation by contacting Lynda Richards at 573-364-8567.

January 26 (Monday)

Regular monthly meeting of the chapter, United Methodist Church, Rolla, beginning at 6:00 pm.  Presentation by Adam Boman, project coordinator, and Sam Faith, MDC educational consultant, on Middle Meramec Conservation Opportunity Area (MMCO), a new volunteer project for our chapter (The Dry Fork Riparian Restoration Initiative is part of the project that is in Phelps County.).  If you are interested in taking part in the project, contact Pat Perry (perrypineridge@embarqmail.com ) or send Adam Boman an e-mail (Adam.Boman@mdc.mo.gov )
